The Congress for Sustainable Development of Nigeria (CSDN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Barr. Maryam Jidda Rufai is the Board Secretary/Legal Adviser of the organization.

Barr. Rufai is an experienced legal practitioner and principal manager (legal) at the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Abuja Regional Office, with vast expertise in legal advisory, corporate governance, compliance enforcement, and dispute resolution. She holds an LLB from the University of Maiduguri, a BL from the Nigerian Law School, and a master's degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Sustainable Development at the University of Abuja.

CSDN congratulates her on this well-deserved appointment and wishes her a successful tenure as she contributes to the growth and advancement of the organization’s vision and mission.

COURTESY VISIT TO THE CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA BY THE CONGRESS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIA (CSDN)

  On September 11, 2025, we conducted a courtesy visit to the Centre for Environmental Studies at the University of Abuja. Our delegation was warmly welcomed by the Centre Coordinator, Dr. Christopher Sako Kato, and Miss Ronas Richard, the Programme Officer. The Director of the Centre, Prof. Dakyes Samuel Panse, welcomed our delegates — Mr. Mustapha Muhammed J., National President; Comr. Ahmed Abdul Yusuf, National Secretary; Mrs. Khadijat Babansule, Deputy National Secretary; and Mrs. Shola Akomolafe, a PhD student of the Centre — to his conference room for an engaging discussion.
