 Brigadier-General Adewale Adekoya is a distinguished senior officer of the Nigerian Army with over thirty-one (31) years of meritorious service. He notably served as the Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade located in Alamala, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. An indigene of Ogun State, he hails from Ago-Iwoye in the Ijebu North Local Government Area. Throughout his military career, he has demonstrated proven expertise in administration, security management, training and capacity development, conflict resolution, and diplomacy. CSDN appoints Dr Limota Goroso Giwa as Matron

 Dr. Limota Goroso Giwa is a prominent Nigerian grassroots organizer, women’s rights activist, and researcher focused on gender, HIV, and urban development. She serves as the Executive Director of the International Women Communication Centre and is a Convener of the Urban Thinkers Project of UN-Habitat in Nigeria. She has also served on the Governing Council of the Huairou Commission. Her recent academic contributions include: Esan, C. A., Giwa, L. G. & Musa, I. (2026).  Dr Shettima Bukar Abba is a distinguished Nigerian academic and seasoned public administrator from Borno State. He has served twice as Secretary to the State Government and represented the state as Federal Commissioner at the Federal Character Commission, where he was appointed Acting Executive Chairman in 2016 and 2018. A PhD holder and former lecturer and Dean at the University of Maiduguri, Dr Abba is widely respected for his expertise in public administration and governance reforms. He is currently a member of the Governing Council of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, further reflecting national recognition of his administrative experience. In 2020, he was conferred the traditional title of Mai’inkinindi (kingmaker) in the Bama Emirate Council, in recognition of his contributions to community development. This is to formally inform all students that the University of Abuja Transition Committee, led by Prof. Sule Magaji, paid an official visit to the Sustainable Development Centre (SDC) today. During the visit, the Committee held constructive engagements with the Director, Prof. Obida Wafure, and staff of the Centre on issues relating to the Centre’s operations and student welfare. The students were formally represented during the visit by the leadership of the Congress for Sustainable Development of Nigeria (CSDN), led by the National President, Comr. Mustapha Muhammed J., and the Deputy National Secretary, Comr. Khadijat Bolanle Yusuf, who actively engaged the Committee on matters affecting students of the Centre.   The Congress for Sustainable Development of Nigeria (CSDN) paid a courtesy visit to the International Peace Commission (IPC) to enhance collaboration on peace and sustainable development initiatives. The Head of Mission, Amb. (Dr.) Hussaini Coomassie, commended CSDN’s proactive efforts and assured full partnership to expand the organization’s impact beyond Nigeria. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and inclusive development.
